Richard Moses Ssuuna is a strong women and girls activist. He is the Executive Director and Founder member of St. Jude Rido Junior School, Nyenga, Uganda, taking care of OVCs (Orphans and Vulnerable Children) and disadvantaged girls. He is the Founder member of St. Anthony De Padua Community Association, Nyenga (ANDEPACA); whose key activities are focused on the promotion of Human Rights with emphasis on women and female youth, fighting against domestic violence and other forms of social discrimination against women and disadvantaged girls, and promotion of gender equality. He is the head of the Lay Faithful in the Catholic Parish of Nyenga, and Deputy Head of the Lay Faithful in Nkokonjeru Deanery in Lugazi Diocese for the last 12 years. He has been employed with St Francis Nyenga Hospital, Uganda since 1987 and is a Human Resource Officer for the past 9 years. He holds Diplomas in Business Administration and Management and Accounting from Uganda Martyrs University (Kampala branch) and also a certificate in Administrative Law from Makerere University (Jinja branch). He constantly keeps himself updated with the various diplomas and certificates available from several reputed local universities.
