Noëlie Kiswendsida Kouraogo currently serves as the Youth and Gender Coordinator for Amnesty International Burkina Faso (AIBF), where she acts to enable and empower youth and women to take action for human rights. Her job includes developing, delivering and leading on the national youth and gender activism strategy to maximize members' and supporters’ activism.
At Amnesty International Burkina Faso (AIBF), she focuses on the Capacity Building of Youth & Women's activism for AIBF and its partner organizations also empowering youth and women. In addition, she monitors and evaluates all of AIBF's Youth & Gender Activities. Kouraogo has also worked on the AIBF's project on maternal health, gender discrimination in Burkina Faso, and the global My Body My Rights campaign for women's and youth's sexual and reproductive rights in Burkina Faso since 2012. Her role in this campaign was to develop effective relationships with partners (including community-based organizations) to implement campaigning and advocacy strategies and mobilize communities, members and the youth activist network to take action on sexual and reproductive rights issues. To do this, she ensured regular communication and feedback on progress, engendered membership engagement in Burkina Faso and contributed to build the Amnesty International Burkina Faso capacity through training and support.
In addition to her work at Amnesty International, Kouraogo is the chairperson of MYS'TIC Burkina Faso, an association promoting ICT, leadership and entrepreneurship skills for women and girls. Finally, she is engaged in the fight against violent extremism and radicalization by advocating for better consideration of women and youth in seeking solutions and inter-religious dialogue.
Kouraogo has a master's degree in Education and Development Psychology from the University of Ouagadougou and a master's degree in Project Management from the University of Alexandria/ Egypt.
