Sister Elizabeth Avalos, Blessed Virgin Mary is a member of the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Sister Elizabeth is also an active member of the San Jose Diocesan Catholic Network to End Human Trafficking, CNEHT, where she has facilitated numerous social justice presentations locally and nationally, having given presentations in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Quito, Ecuador, and Dubuque, Iowa. She has coordinated volunteer immersion trips to Nogales, Mexico, Quito and Guayaquil, Ecuador and various urban centers in the U.S. In addition, she has worked for the Diocese of San Jose as Director of Peace and Justice and was coordinator of Education at Sacred Heart Community Service in San Jose. Sister Elizabeth has been a high school administrator and teacher. |
